I have over fifteen years of experience in nursing. I have practiced in the areas of Critical Care, Acute Medical and Physical Care. My passion has always been for Mental Health where I have productively practiced inpatient care in private and government sectors. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner my goal is to help those in my care to reconnect, restore wholeness, and to maintain equilibrium of all faculties; which is inclusive of physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellness.
I have over thirty years of service in the Medical Arena. I specialized as a Critical Care Registered Nurse before obtaining my certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My joy in nursing has been helping and advocating for my patients. As a Practitioner, I manage the needs of my patients. I will work with you in determining the best treatment regimen. My goal is to give you the best treatment outcome and to promote overall good mental health.
My goal will be to help and advocate for patients who struggle to be heard and understood, and to manage their treatment with empathy, understanding, and compassion. With thirty years of experience in geriatric, pediatric and sedation nursing, plus nine years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I bring with me a unique set of skills that have fostered help to those most in need. Mental illness comes in many forms and can be triggered by a variety of different events. Through my own experiences with mental illness, in my community, I have come to learn many important lessons regarding not only how far we have come in our understanding of mental health, but also how far we still have to go!
My passion for serving came from my own story, being a child of immigrant’s healthcare wasn’t easily attainable. It has always been my dream to work with patients and families in any capacity, and over the years the dreams of an underprivileged little girl came true in nursing. I am excited to enter a phase of my career and look forward to working with individuals from diverse walks of life. I will provide excellent medical care and treatment to all. I consider myself lucky to work in a progressive age of healthcare and I strongly believe that mental healthcare relies on a culture of acceptance, openness, values, and sincerity.
Again, I consider myself privileged to work as a Nurse Practitioner in the liberal age of healthcare. I look forward to bringing my experience and knowledge to Intricate Mind and Body, LLC to further refine and hone them.
Thank you for trusting us at Intricate Mind and Body with your mental health. There is no health without mental health.
